The Olympic Games of this year were planned to be celebrated in Sydney, but the Olympics Committee decided some days before the inauguration, that this country would not be the seat for this games in this occasion. The committee decided this, because of the cyclone that will invade the big island during the Games.The committee looked for a country with the best resources to function as seat for the Olympics, and the best option it found was Mexico.
Yesterday, the committee joined with Ernesto Zedillo, and they planned together the seat for each Olympic Game. They decided that in Guadalajara we would have the next competitions: figure skating, that will be celebrated in the Iceland; athletics, that will take place at the “Colomos” and The Unidad Revolución; basketball, that will be played at the Tec’s fields; and diving, in the pools of the UdeG club, the others remaining sports will be played at the Tec de Monterrey.
