Last night Iris Alvares the Mexican gymnastic gave us a big surprise; She won the gold medall for Mexico. As you will know Dominique Moceanu has been for the last ten years the best athlete of the world, and had won the past five international tournaments for preparation to the Olympic Games, but she was defeated by Iris, Mexico’s number one gymnastic. At 8:00 pm, last night, Iris performed a 9.8 mortal jump that gave her the gold. So far for Iris it has been her best competition in her entire career. In the other hand, for Dominique her performance was good but not perfect, because everybody expected more from her. Dominique couldn’t believe that she had lost again a Mexican like Iris. Iris instead was very happy. We only can say: Congratulations Iris for an excellent performance in gymnastics.
